From the beaches, hiking trails, small town feel, schools, and proximity to Portland, it’s not wonder why Scarborough is one of our favorite communities. But don’t just take it from us! Here is just some of our clients on what they love most about living in Scarborough.

“We love living in Scarborough because of the friendly neighbors, so many of whom have become friends. We think Scarborough is also the center of the Greater Portland area. We are close to Eastern Trail for some summer hiking, the Mall for shopping, stores like Walmart and Target and all the other towns.” – P.S.

“After living in Detroit many years, I found Scarborough is a quaint town to live in and raise my kids . I feel it is one of the towns in Maine that has more diversity than others .Great Public School systems and extremely family-friendly. It is a safe town and close to Portland (6Miles) , Beautiful sandy beaches (In 15 mins) and close to the turnpike for commuting as well. The list goes on as Scarborough is close to the ocean and Parks /recreations. The Maine Mall , hundreds of stores and restaurants are local. It is the perfect place to live.” -K.P.

“There are so many great reasons to live here and bring up a family.  While we moved to Scarborough just this year, we have always loved this town.  We owned a in business Scarborough for quite a few years and just fell in love with the people, the small business community, the school athletics, the public services and the proximity to everything we need.  We live on the west side of Scarborough.  Here, there are lots of farms, open fields, lots of wildlife and some really nice neighbors.  We are super close to the Maine Mall, Portland, the beaches, the lakes, movie theaters and lots of restaurants.  There’s the Eastern Trail for walking, bike riding and birding, which we enjoy regularly.  There are lots of nature trails for the whole family as well as for your four legged friends. We can pick up our lobsters, fresh fish and clams right from the folks who catch them.  The town has a summer concert series in the park that is great for the family, or just the two of us.  Honestly, there’s so much more!   It’s a great place to live.” – P.P.
