SET UP YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT

Log in and set up your new MREC Gmail account (instructions were sent to your personal email). The temporary password expires in 48 hours, so please log in ASAP. If you don’t see the email, check your spam/junk folder. If the link doesn’t work, go to gmail.com and log in manually using the details provided. All future communications will be sent to your MREC email.  

Pro Tip- Set up email forwarding from your old email to your new MREC email, so you never miss a thing!

SUBMIT YOUR ONBOARDING FORM

Complete the Google Onboarding Form sent to your MREC email ASAP. This helps us move forward smoothly with your onboarding!

You’ll receive a Square invoice for your $500.00 one-time onboarding fee. We will invoice you $60.00 for your Errors & Omissions insurance on the 1st of every month.

CANVA

Market like a pro with our Canva Pro account! You’ll get free access to our branded marketing materials tailored to your business. All MREC agents are required to use these templates for marketing. Look out for a separate email from Canva with login instructions. Our marketing team will create templates for new listings, open houses, contracts, and sold properties. We recommend downloading the Canva mobile app for easy access. Watch our Canva basics video for a quick guide on using it with our agency!

Become a boss with FollowUpBoss! This system, which you'll use daily, is designed to keep your business organized and maximize efficiency through automation. You’ll receive an email confirming your account setup—please follow the instructions to log in. We’ve also created a beginner’s guide video to help you get familiar with the basics—be sure to watch!

SkySlope

This system keeps your transactions organized from start to finish, ensuring everything stays compliant and on track.  All new agents with MREC are required to book a 1-on-1 SkySlope training with Paula. Please email Paula at paula@merealestateco.com to schedule at your earliest convenience.

You’ll receive an email confirming your SkySlope account setup—please follow the instructions to log in. We’ve also created a beginner’s guide video to help you get familiar with the basics—be sure to watch!

SCHEDULE YOUR ONBOARDING MEETING

After submitting your Google Form, please book your virtual onboarding Zoom meeting with Sydney.  During this time, we’ll go over our social media policies, best practices, and address any questions you may have.

Submit your license

Submit your license to the state of Maine, we will email you separately with instructions.  Please keep us updated on the status of your real estate license transfer. 

NOTE: Once submitted to the state, we have seen the transfer process take a few days to weeks.

SHORBY FOR INSTAGRAM

In real estate, social media is key, which is why we offer all agents a free "link in bio" for Instagram. This clickable link in your bio provides one-click access to your website page, buyer & seller guide downloads, home valuation tool, and contact information. Once your Shorby link is created, we’ll send you a separate email with instructions on how to install it.

ORDER SIGNAGE (OPTIONAL)

We offer a variety of signage options for purchase, as well as free design-only options! You can easily order and pay for riders, for sale signs, directionals, and more through our online agent store.   Orders have a lead time of 7-14 days, so if you anticipate needing signage you'll want to order as soon as possible.  We’ll design, order, and deliver your signage directly to the office, or you can choose the free design option and print it wherever you prefer!

We provide all agents with a complimentary website page designed to make you shine online! Your page will include a biography, contact information, industry stats, reviews, an instant home valuation tool, and a buyer & seller guide download. It’s synced to FollowUpBoss, making it easy to generate leads. If you haven’t already, we recommend visiting our website to see what your page will look like and how to use these tools. Once your website is built, we’ll email you the link for review and approval before it’s published.

UPDATE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

Don't be a "secret agent", consider making your profiles "public" so you can be easily found.  Once your license is officially transferred, be sure to update your contact information and workplace on your platforms to stay connected.

JOIN A REALTOR BOARD WITHIN 7 DAYS

Join or update your membership with the Maine Association of REALTORS Board. If you're already with a REALTOR Board, notify them of your switch to MREC within 7 days.

If you're newly licensed and not yet a member, you must join a board within 7 days of joining MREC. MREC is a member of the Greater Portland, York County, Mountains to Shore, and Bangor boards—choose the one that best suits you.

Once your license is officially transferred, please update your voicemail greeting to indicate your name and agency.

BUSINESS CARDS

As part of our onboarding process, we'll set you up for success with a complimentary pack of business cards! Once you’ve used them up, you can reorder more through our agent shop or get a free copy of your design to print wherever you prefer.  The lead time for printing is 7-14 business days & will be delivered to the office. We’ll send you a separate email soon to review and approve your business card design before printing!
