🦃 TURKEY RECPIE 🦃

Ingredients:

  • 12-pound whole turkey
  • 4 lemons
  • 2 sweet onions
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh rosemary and lemon thyme for garnish

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Rinse the turkey inside and out, then pat it dry with paper towels.
  • Cut two lemons into halves and slice the sweet onions and garlic.
  • Stuff the turkey cavity with the halved lemons, sliced onions, and garlic. Place extra onion and garlic in the pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper.
  • Rub the turkey with the prepared butter mixture, covering both the outside and under the skin.
  • Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan, breast side up.
  • Squeeze the juice from the remaining lemons over the turkey and place the lemon halves in the pan.
  • Decorate the turkey with fresh rosemary and lemon thyme.
  • Roast the turkey, basting occasionally with pan juices, until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh reaches 165°F (74°C). This typically takes about 3 to 4 hours, depending on your oven and the size of the turkey.
  • Once done, let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
  • Garnish with additional fresh herbs and lemon slices before serving.
