Business Spotlight: Wilson County Barbecue

Copy of Introducing Our
June’s Business Spotlight couldn’t come at a better time.  The unofficial beginning of summer, as well as Father’s Day, will bring the thoughts of BBQ dancing through your head.  Wilson County Barbecue (or as they like to call themselves “WCB”) is a traditional Eastern North Carolina, wood-fired, pit-smoked, whole hog style BBQ.  Using recipes that have been passed down from generations of the Brantley Family.
North Carolina native Spencer Branley heads up this establishment and he didn’t forget to bring the Southern hospitality with him.  This is a great place for the whole family or to meet up with friends, with lots of traditional BBQ menu choices from pulled pork, baby back ribs, barbecue chicken, hushpuppies, fried shrimp po’boy sandwiches,  collard greens and cheese grits.
The menu doesn’t stop with food.  The specialty cocktails and beer menu will not disappoint.  Check out their happy hour and bring your pup along with you.   A birdie told us that the restaurant has a bit of a treat for your four legged family member on Friday’s on the patio, pig ears!!
Whether you eat inside, enjoy your meal on the patio with some local live music, or take home, you will love, love, love Wilson County Barbecue!
