Thanksgiving Support for Survivors

At Maine Real Estate Co, we believe in the power of community and compassion. As we gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving, it’s essential to remember those who are not able to fully enjoy the season. The Reality of Trafficking in Maine

Hundreds of Mainers are trafficked into forced labor and commercial sex each year. Many of these are women and girls. Traffickers prey on people they think are vulnerable, targeting those trying to improve their lives without adequate resources or support. Many survivors have been runaways or individuals facing difficult circumstances, often feeling invisible and trapped without a clear path forward.

It’s estimated that 70 to 90% of trafficking victims are also survivors of childhood sexual abuse. This grim reality underscores the importance of offering them a helping hand and the support they so desperately need. By providing essential items and support, we can help these individuals find a path to recovery and stability.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

This Thanksgiving, let’s extend our gratitude and generosity to those in need. By donating essential goods and winter supplies, we can bring a little warmth, hope, and kindness to those who have faced unimaginable hardships.

Join us in making this season brighter for survivors in our community. Let’s show them that they are not alone and that their community cares.
